Te Akau Leads on NZ Black Type

Following on from a Te Akau 1-2-4 finish in the Group 1 NZ 2000 Guineas in November, Te Akau claimed its eighth stakes' race title for the season in New Zealand with another quinella - this time in the Group 3 J Swap Contractors Open Sprint 1400m at Te Rapa on Saturday.
Royal Success was victorious over stablemate Chambord who, to be fair, most commentators deemed very unlucky after being held up in the straight.
We are proud that Te Akau has trained more Group and Listed winners in New Zealand thus far this season than any other stable as you can see from the Trainers' Premiership below:
