On the ground, we caught up with Marcus Corban, Te Akau’s Bloodstock Manager, and our Assistant Trainer Reece Trumper, to talk through what excited them most about this year’s purchases - the athletic types, the strength of the pedigrees and the genuine racing upside they see as these youngsters begin their journey.

Now comes the fun part. After a well-earned spell, we can’t wait to get these horses through their early education, watch them grow, and see their personalities shine. From first steps off the truck to learning the ropes, it’s all about the journey from the sale to the saddle, with plenty of memories to be made on and off the track.
