Te Akau Racing has two horses entered on Wednesday 9 June at Matamata.

2.59 p.m. R6 5 Shebringsmerubies (5 m Sebring - Run Away Ruby) - Niranjan Parmar (a4); was dominant winning the Rating 65 1600 metres here on 17 March, good again finishing second in the Rating 65 2100 metres on 25 April at Awapuni, before finishing back on the polytrack at Cambridge. Saddled with 53.5kg, she has placed twice on heavy footing and recorded both wins on the home track.

2.59 p.m. R6 10 Speed of Light (3 f Proisir - Light Source) - Joe Kamaruddin (a3); was back throughout when resuming in the Rating 65 1400 metres on 5 May at Ruakaka, won by stable-mate Excitonic (Savabeel), before finding the line for fifth in the Rating 65 1600 metres on 22 May at Te Rapa. Claiming to 53kg, she has raced well here and should go well if appreciative of conditions.
