Te Akau Matamata Preview

Te Akau New Zealand has one horse entered for the six-race programme on Friday Aug. 8 at Matamata.

As on Thursday Aug. 7 the conditions were: overcast and Heavy10, rail out 4 metres.

2.35 p.m. R3 7 My Fiancée (4 m Snitzel - Meet My Sis) - Rowena Smyth (a2); drops back to 1200 metres and has the benefit of weight relief to carry 54.5kgs. Fitter for a couple of outings this time in, she produced her best performance here on the home track with a close third over 1200 metres on heavy going. On that occasion she ran strongly to the line after racing handily in the open. There are a few factors in her favour, if she proves to the task.
