Te Akau Midweek Pukekohe Preview

Te Akau Racing has two horses entered on Wednesday 21 June at Pukekohe.

Weather: cloudy, track: Heavy10, rail: true. No rain forecast.

12:32 p.m. R3 3 Malborough Bay (3 g Darci Brahma - Spin ‘N Grin) - Niranjan Parmar (a2); he circled from beyond midfield with a solid finish for third when resuming in the Rating 65 1200 metres on 8 June at New Plymouth, and contests the $20,000 Rating 65 1200 metres. A winner at the distance, he enjoys weight relief to 57kg, is stakes' placed and a consistent performer, and rates a top three chance.

2:54 p.m. R7 11 Fay Khan It (4 m Mongolian Khan - Morgan Le Fay) - Niranjan Parmar (a2); she justified favouritism winning the Maiden High-weight 1600 metres on 24 May at Tauranga, but was unable to capitalise on a good trip in the Rating 65 1800 metres on 8 June at New Plymouth. A winner on Heavy10 going, she has weight relief to 54kg, and receives opportunity to bounce back in the $20,000 Rating 65 1600 metres.
