Te Akau New Zealand has one horse entered for the ten race premier programme on Wednesday 11 November at Riccarton.

2.50 p.m. R5 14 Opulent (4 m Keeper - Silk Slipper) - Matt Cameron; has been prepared with the $80,000 Valachi Downs Canterbury Breeders Stakes (Gr. 3, 1400m) in mind, since ending her previous campaign with back-to-back wins in June/July, and resumed here 18 days ago with an easy win in the Rating 75 1200 metres. She faces a few quality mares, including Slice of Class (Guillotine) who won the race last year when rated only 70. She brings an impeccable form line and has the class to threaten if able to secure a decent trip from a wide gate.
