2:10 p.m. R1 2 Hooray For Harry (3 g Harry Angel – Here We Come) – Wiremu Pinn; he received cover behind the leaders and ran on well for fourth in the $25,000 Maiden 1200 metres here on 15 January. Shown to have improved, he rates a top three chance if he can secure a decent trip from barrier 10 in the corresponding event. Fixed odds: $2.80 & $1.40.
2:45 p.m. R2 12 Corps D’Elite (3 f So You Think – Illuminati) – Wiremu Pinn; she closed strongly in the fastest last 600m (34.9) for second when debuting in the Maiden 1200 metres on 18 December at Ashburton, and found plenty after racing in the open to finish second in the Maiden 1200 metres here on 15 January. Drawn the ace, she rates a top three chance in the $25,000 Maiden 1400 metres - one of two in the event for the team. Fixed odds: $2.90 & $1.50.
2:45 p.m. R2 14 By Her Rules (3 f Kermadec – Empress Cixi) – Ace Lawson-Carroll (a1); she remained back after beginning tardily in the $25,000 Maiden 1400 metres here on 25 January, and also contests the corresponding event. While she is looking to improve with blinkers on, she does requires luck from her awful draw (16). Fixed odds: $16.00 & $4.50.
3:25 p.m. R3 6 Purple Prose (3 g Embellish – Lady Masako) – Wiremu Pinn; he situated handily and ran home strongly for second once clear in the $25,000 Maiden 1400 metres here on 25 January. Contesting the $25,000 Maiden 1600 metres, he is a half-sister to stable-mate Elegant Lady (Highly Recommended), the winner of four races 1900m – 2200m and twice stakes' placed. He is suited stepping up in distance and rates a top three chance. Fixed odds: $2.60 & $1.40.
3:57 p.m. R4 1 Fellini (5 g Belardo – Silke Top) – Wiremu Pinn; he ended his previous campaign after a brave fourth in the Listed Spring Classic over 2000m here in October, and ran home fine for third in a trial on 28 January at Ashburton. Resuming in the $25,000 Open Handicap 1600 metres, he brings a solid course and distance form to this contest. While he carries the top weight (60kg), he has a good fresh up record and possesses the ability to be a top three prospect. Fixed odds: $4.00 & $1.55.
4:30 p.m. R5 2 Ocean Miss (3 f Ocean Park – Runway) – Ace Lawson-Carroll (a1); freshened since the Group 3 Eulogy Stakes (1600m) on 21 December at Otaki, she is one of three stable mates contesting the $25,000 Rating 65 1200 metres. She posted a top run for third in the Group 3 Wellington Stakes (1600m), after winning over 1400 metres, has commenced her career in good fashion and rates a top three chance from barrier two for her ladies' partnership. Fixed odds: $4.40 & $1.85.
4:30 p.m. R5 4 French Rose (5 m Burgundy – Paraiba) – Ashvin Goindasamy; she remained back on the inner in the $25,000 Rating 65 1200 metres here on 15 January, and contests the corresponding event. With three wins over this distance, she seeks improvement in this, but requires luck from outside gate (13). Fixed odds: $12.00 & $3.50.
4:30 p.m. R5 6 Donna Chiara (3 f Belardo – Bellabaci) – Wiremu Pinn; she was unpressured running home solidly for fourth in a trial on 15 January at Ashburton, and resumes in the $25,000 Rating 65 1200 metres. She won easily over 1200 metres earlier in season, was spelled following the Group 3 Barneswood Farm Stakes, and has top three credentials first-up. Fixed odds: $4.60 & $1.90.
5:05 p.m. R6 2 Millefiori (6 m Iffraaj – Miss Bluebell) – Ace Lawson-Carroll (a1); she fought well for fifth after racing three-wide near the pace in the Rating 80 1150 metres on 11 January at Kumara, and contests the $25,000 Open Handicap 1100 metres. A well performed winner of seven races from 1100m – 1400m, she is stakes' placed, and has good course and distance stats. The side winkers are on, and she presents rates a top four chance in even field. Fixed odds: $9.50 & $2.50.
5:05 p.m. R6 5 Insatiable (5 g All Too Hard – All Day Baby) – Wiremu Pinn; he sustained a strong finish in the fastest last 600m (33.9) to win the Rating 75 1200 metres on 28 December at Timaru, has been given time (39 days), and contests the $25,000 Open Handicap 1100 metres. He resumed with two top efforts for second during Cup Week here in November, and is capable of a top three result. Fixed odds: $3.40 & $1.45.
5:47 p.m. R7 6 Family Ties (5 m Contributer – Glamazon) – Wiremu Pinn; she finished well for seventh in the Rating 75 1600 metres here on 25 January, and contests the $25,000 Rating 75 2000 metres. A stakes' winner over 1800 metres, he is in good form, and has the opportunity to prove competitive again up in distance. Fixed odds: $5.00 & $1.95.
6:24 p.m. R8 3 Sorcha (5 m Burgundy – Niamh Elizabeth) – Wiremu Pinn; one of two in the race for the team, she was okay without threatening in the Rating 75 1200 metres here on 15 January, and contests the $25,000 Rating 75 1400 metres. A genuine performer, she has a solid distance record, but requires luck from her wide draw (10). Fixed odds: $6.50 & $2.35.
6:24 p.m. R8 10 Polly Plum (6 m Xtravagant – Herstory) – Ace Lawson-Carroll (a1); she finished fourth after leading in the Rating 75 1200 metres here on 15 January, and contests the $25,000 Rating 75 1400 metres. With three of four wins over 1400 metres, she can prove competitive with any luck from her awkward draw (9). Fixed odds: $8.50 & $2.80.
6:59 p.m. R9 16 Star Shadow (3 f Reliable Man – Scene Queen) – Wiremu Pinn; she made ground from back on the inner in the Rating 65 1400 metres here on 15 January, and contests the $30,000 Rating 65 1600 metres. She has raced in good fields and is capable of proving competitive from barrier six in an even line-up. Fixed odds: $7.00 & $2.70.
