Te Akau Midweek Trackwork

Some highlights from today's busy Te Akau trackwork:

Plough:

Te Akau has solid representation with five horses starting on Saturday at Ellerslie.

Backing up from last Saturday, Thy (Myers) galloped over 800 metres in 55.2, last 600m 39.1, in preparation for the Easter Handicap (Gr. 1, 1600m).

Urban Angel (Miller) worked over 1000 metres in 1:04.3, last 600m in 36.8. Following her excellent fresh up third at Tauranga, she looks very competitive in the Benchmark 75 1600 metres.

Another favoured contender, in the Champagne Stakes (Listed, 1600m) Darci's Dream (Miller) quickened from the 1400 metres to cover 1000m in 1:04.9, last 600m in 38.7.

Equanimity (Misbah) galloped 800 metres in 1:0.6, last 600m in 42, and she contests the 3YO 1200 metres.

Appellation (Miller) and Madame Jamai (Misbah) worked over 1000 metres in 1:03.8, last 600m in 36.7. Two-year-olds, they are being readied to race in the next couple of weeks.
