The Premier Sale at Karaka can only be described as a huge success. Te Akau Racing bought 17 horses for $4.7 million and continued our proud tradition of being the leading buyer.
Some people ask "why do you do this?" and my answer is simple but two fold. I do this because I believe in our industry - I believe that we produce the very best young horses in the world. I also do this because I want our Te Akau owners, new and existing, to have the best opportunities possible - nowhere else will you find such quality on offer. We bought horses that are "must have's" and now we will have them in our stable to train - and you have the chance to be involved in them.
This year I went to the sale and thought "I will simply buy the best colts and fillies that to my eye would make the best racehorses" and we were absolutely over the moon with the quality of horses that we have purchased.
Every single yearling is a colt or filly of enormous quality - yearlings with enormous potential to go on to be really good racehorses. Just look at their photos and pedigrees on our "Yearlings & Shares" page and you will see what I mean.
The sale overall was very successful and, as I say, we could not be happier with having such exciting young horses in our stable to train - and for you to own.
Last night we went out to have a celebration dinner with the team - and although we are very tired after looking at all these horses on numerous occasions - it was a marvellous feeling of a job well done. We are back at the sale today for the first day of the Select Sale and we will go home to the farm tomorrow night.
All the horses that we bought have settled in at the farm beautifully - they are all home now and are relaxing in big, green paddocks after the rigours of the sale. Karyn and I are flat out selling shares in these horses and they are flying out the door at a great rate. Karyn was of course busy in the past two days presenting the sales TV coverage that we again sponsored and right now she is busy emailing the many, many people who want to have shares with us and be part of Te Akau Racing. If you have emailed us - you will hear from her today!
If you want to part - in some small way - in what I consider to be the best group of young horses I have ever purchased, get in touch with us now. You do not have to spend much - Te Akau Racing has a share for every budget, we can promise you that. it doesn't matter what size your share, you will feel very much part of the team with us! And even better, you deal with us directly.
For example we bought a gorgeous Mafki filly on Monday - Lot 198 and this girl is just a stunning. She is a full sister to the hugely talented Sofia Rosa who won the Group 2 Royal Stakes at Ellerslie on New Year's Day.
I paid $200,000 for this filly who has excellent residual value - and a 10% share is just $20,000 or a 5% share only $10,000. What a great investment opportunity that represents - a stunning filly by a sire that I think is going places and out of an Encosta De Lago mare who has already left Sofia Rosa.
This is but one example of an exciting investment opportunity.
Remember too that horses purchased from this sale are now eligible for not one but TWO $1 million races - in 12 months' time they are eligible for the Karaka Million as two year olds and then as three year olds they are eligible for a another $1 million race - only horses purchased from Karaka can contest these two races.
How brilliant would it be to start 2016 on such an exciting note by buying a share in this type of young horse - please call us on 021 925 151 - or email [email protected] - we would love to hear from you.
