The other day I was thinking about the great horses to race in New Zealand and Australia. When I go away on holiday in winter, I love reading about the great horses over the decades.
From what I have read, most agree that the best horse to race in the 19th century was Carbine and the best in the 20th century was Phar Lap, then Tulloch with horses such as Might and Power, Octagonal, Sunline and Ethereal all coming close behind - with a raft of others might I add.
What do these champions all have in common? They were all bred in New Zealand - and this nation is a magical nursery for young horses! I still have a couple of terrific yearlings that have shares available that we hope will stars on the track too!
One filly that really keeps taking my eye is Lot 194, an absolutely stunning Pour Moi filly out of the Zabeel mare Be Inspired. This is a filly that I decided I simply could not leave the sale without!

Have a look at this pedigree - click here - http://www.nzb.co.nz/sales/pedigree.cfm?sale_id=187&lot=194
Her sire is an English Derby winner - her mother is a Zabeel mare who is out of a Centaine mare who is out of a Mill Reef mare - a simply outstanding pedigree and a family filled to the brim with international Group winners and performers - from Australia to South Africa to Japan.
We paid $170,000 plus GST for this striking filly - so a 10% share is $17,000 +GST
or a 5% share only $8,500 +GST.
Please call us now on 07 825 4701 or email Karyn - [email protected] - she's a beauty!
