Te Akau Moe Thursday Preview
13 August, 2026
Te Akau Racing has two horses entered on Thursday 13 August at Moe (Victoria).
Moe:
Weather: showers, track: Heavy10, rail: true. Showers forecast.
4:30 p.m. (NZ) - 2:30 p.m. (Vic) R4 4 Koko (4 m Written Tycoon – Tawteen) – Jamie Mott; she sustained a strong gallop off the trail to finish second (for the third time) on Heavy9 going in the Maiden 1000 metres on 16 July at Cranbourne, and contests the A$32,000 Maiden 1000 metres. She has a good pedigree, three seconds, two thirds, and fourth, from only seven starts, and rates a top three chance if appreciative of conditions. NZ TAB fixed odds: $3.10 & $1.50.
6:00 p.m. (NZ) - 4:00 p.m. (Vic) R7 5 Get Honor (4 m Savabeel – Honor) – Stephanie Hateley (a2); she closed strongly down outside for third in jump out on 20 July at Cranbourne, and resumes in the $22,000 Benchmark 56 1200 metres. She scored a smart debut victory over 1200 metres on Good4, is from the family of dual Group One winner Te Akau Shark (Rip Van Winkle), and enjoys weight relief to 58.5kg. She has the ability but will need to handle the track conditions. NZ TAB fixed odds: $8.00 & $2.70.
