Coincidence (Lammas) and Tatters (Bosson) worked together over 1000 metres in 1:06.5, last 600m in 38. Both horses pleased the trainers and pulled up well. They are earmarked for the meeting this Friday 14 August at Avondale. Tatters (Tavistock) will contest the Maiden 3YO 1200 metres. She was given a break after staging a massive run from last to finish third to High Class (Shocking) and stable-mate Risque (Darci Brahma) in the Two-Year-Old Fillies 1200 metres on the same course in May and could strike similar slow going. Coincidence (Savabeel), from a versatile family that has shown ability to act fresh, makes his debut in the Maiden 1200 metres.

Also being readied to debut in the Maiden 1200 metres at Avondale, Christine Louise (Lammas) and Niamh Elizabeth (Bosson) went 1000m in 1:07.7, last 600m in 38.6 and each worked nicely. Christine Louise (O'Reilly) sports the classy twelve time winner Zephyr Magic (Zephyr Bay) as her grand-dam, while Niamh Elizabeth (Per Incanto), a half-sister to stakes winner Thrive (Colombia), trained by Te Akau, has the right pedigree to handle some cut in the ground.
