Te Akau Monday Update

What an unbelievable day we had at Trentham on Saturday - three starters for three wins - YES a 100% strike rate plus another two wins in Singapore! That is five wins in 24 hours - well done to both our teams at Matamata and at Kranji!
Te Akau Racing in New Zealand is now 11 wins in front on the Trainers' Premiership (as you can see below), is well in front on prizemoney won for our owners (the first stable to exceed $1 million) and has won more Group and Listed races than any other New Zealand stable.
And this is on top of winning Te Akau's first Trainers' Premiership in Singapore!
The real heroes in these results are two groups - the team members who work so hard looking after these horses and our loyal owners. Our team members are up each morning at about 3.15am and work through until 5.00pm and the "show goes on" seven days a week.
So a huge thank you to our team for all these wonderful results - and a massive thank you to our owners who take shares with us or entrust us with horses they have bought or bred. We couldn't achieve this success without your support - and we are thrilled to be delivering the results for you. It is enormously exciting for me when you see a horse like Heroic Valour bolt in at his very start at Trentham. I can't describe how satisfying that is.
The yearlings that we bought this year are selling at record speed - quite a few first time owners are investing in their first racing experience and we love welcoming them to the farm and showing them their latest investment - at home and happy.

We had 17 mls of rain last night - just a beautiful season. Last night we also had a dinner party to celebrate all the beautiful yearlings that we bought and the drinks werre flowing ... but today it starts ... my usual "no alcohol until the horses are sold" policy!!!!
Premierships are based on performances during each racing season (August 1st - July 31st). The jockey and trainer with the most wins at the end of the season are the Premiership winners. These statistics are updated daily.
