Te Akau Monday Update

What an unbelievably exciting weekend for Te Akau Racing.

Six winners in total with Group 1 in New Zealand and five winners in Singapore.

Yes both our New Zealand and our Singapore stables are on fire and it was thrilling to see Mark Walker train a double on Friday night and three winners last night including a quinella in the first race.

Quite unbelievable results but a true reflection on our super professional and dedicated New Zealand and Singapore teams.  We are thrilled for all of the owners involved who have invested with Te Akau such as in Hall of Fame, our Group 1 winner - and for those who have bred with us as in the case of Miss Waimataitai or owners who have entrusted us with their horses - such as Greg McCarthy who sent us his nice horse Ancient Warrior to train in Singapore as have Raffles Racing with Viviano, another weekend winner.  Another victor on the weekend was Eaton's Gold for Fortuna Syndicators and he has been a wonderful horse with his eight wins, eight second, eight third and eleven fourth placings earning his owners $462,960 since he went to Singapore.

So to all our owners who had such a great weekend - a big congratulations.

We have had beautiful rain at Te Akau Stud in recent days - 18 mls on Friday and a further 5mls yesterday and I have never seen Te Akau Stud looking so good at this time of the year.  It is just amazing.

We have two units of bulls going this week and another two units of steers. The cattle are still thriving and the weight gains have been enormous this season.

It is a busy week with three more days of yearling inspections to go and then we have only a handful to complete at Karaka first thing next week.

Have a great week everyone and don't forget to check out our very impressive Gold Coast yearlings I bought last week on our Yearlings and Shares page - they are beauties and, as expected, shares are selling quickly!
