5:30 p.m. (NZ time) R5 2 Leaderboard (10 g Street Cry – Flower Fairy) – Sage Duric (a3); he fell when mounting pressure to the leader in the Brierley Steeplechase (3450m) on 29 April at Warrnambool, coming through that unscathed, and reverts to flat racing for the A$27,000 Benchmark 70 3000 metres. He enjoys weight relief to 58kg with our Australian apprentice aboard and is using this as a preparation to resume jumping. He was in great form before the fall and has distance in the wheelhouse to prove competitive. NZ TAB fixed odds: $9.50 & $2.35.
