1.31 p.m. R3 7 Mai Tai (4 m Atlante - Tropical Punch) Opie Bosson; was big off a wide run winning the NZB Insurance Pearl Series Maiden 1200 metres on 14 October at Tauranga, with Bosson aboard, and contests the $22,500 NZB Insurance Pearl Series Rating 65 1200 metres (eligible $20,000 bonus). She brings the right form to prove very competitive from barrier one. Fixed odds: $3.20 & $1.40.





2.13 p.m. R4 3 Weaponry (5 g Declaration of War - Cat Shmea) - Opie Bosson; kept up a good gallop for second when trialling on 15 October at Avondale, and resumes in the $32,500 Open 1200 metres. Winning five from 11 to 1600 metres, including the Southland Guineas (Listed, 1600m), he has the ability to act fresh and tough qualities. Fixed odds: $4.50 & $1.75.





4.09 p.m. R7 2 In A Twinkling (5 g Fastnet Rock - Moment in Time) - Opie Bosson; resumed with a solid fifth over 1400 metres at Te Rapa, and notable finishing fourth under 62kgs in the Open 1600 metres on 26 September at Ellerslie. The Counties Cup (Gr. 3, 2100m) winner here last season, he rates a top three chance from barrier four in the $50,000 Haunui Farm Karaka Classic (Listed, 1600m). Fixed odds: $5.50 & $2.15.





4.09 p.m. R7 3 Te AkauCaliburn (6 g Camelot - Enchanted Evening) - Troy Harris; resumed in the Open 1600 metres on 2 October at Te Rapa, and steps up in the $50,000 Haunui Farm Karaka Classic (Listed, 1600m). He was brave finishing second in the New Zealand St Leger (Listed, 2600m) in March at Trentham and is preparing for the $100,000 Counties Cup (Gr. 3, 2100m) here on 21 November. Fixed odds: $26.00 & $6.25.





5.19 p.m. R9 11 Maasir (3 g Proisir - Maakel) - Samantha Collett; was caught wide and kept up a good gallop behind stable-mate and subsequent impressive winner Entriviere (Tavistock) on debut in the Maiden 1200 metres on 23 September at Matamata. He closed very well for fourth in the Maiden 1400 metres on 14 October at Tauranga, and despite drawing wide (13) rates a top three contender in the $10,000 Maiden 1600 metres. Fixed odds: $6.00 & $2.25.

12.38 p.m. R2 9 Rhapsody in Blue (4 m Medaglia d'Oro - Kablues) - Samantha Wynne; held off subsequent winner Can I Get An Amen (Hallowed Crown) when scoring in the Rating 65 1200 metres on 13 September at Taupo, before battling on Slow8 in the Rating 74 1200 metres on 17 October at Hastings. Ideally drawn (3) in the $27,500 Rating 74 1200 metres, she can improve if appreciative of conditions at her first course attempt. Fixed odds: $10.00 & $3.00.





1.13 p.m. R3 8 Star of Bombay (4 m Atlante - Astardia) - Danielle Johnson; finished third to Deerfield (Falkirk), the winner of five from six this prep, when resuming in the Open 1200 metres on 10 October at Hawera. An impressive second-up winner in her first campaign, winning the Mufhasa Fasttrack Stakes (Listed, 1300m) on Derby Day (Feb. 29) at Ellerslie, she ended her first campaign in March with a notable fourth in the Wellington Guineas (Gr. 2, 1400m). She meets a good field, as expected, in the $32,500 Open 1300 metres and rates a top three chance from barrier one. Fixed odds: $5.00 & $1.85.





3.50 p.m. R7 6 Bak Da Master (6 g Mastercraftsman - Bak Da Princess) - Sam Weatherley; has won two of his last three starts in hurdle events - second between in a Rating 74 2100 metres at Te Rapa - and he contests the $27,500 Rating 74 2200 metres. He was preparing for the Open Hurdle (3000m) on Sunday at Wanganui, but the meeting was cancelled. Regardless, he is racing in terrific form and likes the course. Fixed odds: $7.50 & $2.60.





5.10 p.m. R9 13 Aromatic (4 m Sacred Falls - Vickezzchardonnay) - Danielle Johnson; followed two seconds cantering home to win by more than six lengths over 1400 metres in March at Rotorua, and resumed with a tenacious victory in the Rating 65 1400 metres on 10 October at Matamata. Up in grade for the $27,500 Rating 74 1600 metres, she rates a top four chance if appreciative of conditions at her first course attempt. Fixed odds: $8.00 & $2.80.
