Te Rapa:

2.47 p.m. R5 6 Mongolianconqueror (6 g Ocean Park -
Queen Rania) - Craig
Grylls; carried a big weight (60kg) in the Rating 74 1600 metres on 21
November at Pukekohe, and better suited with 55kg in the $32,500 Open 1600
metres. Runner-up in the Waikato Guineas (Gr. 2, 2000m) here, he is capable of
racing well with the right trip from barrier seven. Fixed odds: $31.00 &
$6.00.

3.23 p.m. R6 5 Excitonic (4 g Savabeel - Bint Piavonic) - Opie Bosson; found the line without all favours in the Stella Artois Championship Qualifier (Rating 65, 1400m) on 28 November at Ellerslie. Denied room off the trial at his only course attempt, he rates a top four chance from barrier three in the $22,500 Rating 65 1600 metres. Fixed odds: $6.50 & $2.30.

12.45 p.m. R2 1 Challa (4 g Dissident - Are There Any)
- Joe Kamaruddin (a4);
freshened since back-to-back wins, most recently in the $40,000 Rating
74 1200 metres on Livamol Day (17 Oct.) at Hastings. Kamaruddin was aboard in
both front-running victories, remains in the same grade, and claims to 56.5kg
in the $27,500 Rating 74 1200 metres. Fixed odds: $2.40 & $1.20.

1.20 p.m. R3 3 On the Bubbles (2 g Brazen Beau - More
Bubbles) - Johnathan Parkes; kept up a solid gallop for third when trialling on
8 December at Avondale, and debuts in the $22,500 NZB Insurance Pearl Series
2YO 1100 metres. Consistent through the trials stage with two seconds and a
third, by a good sire of two-year-olds in Australia, he should go well if able
to negate barrier 10. Fixed odds: $5.00 & $1.90.

1.20 p.m. R3 11 Savasilk (2 f Savabeel - Silk Pins) -
Matt Cameron; kept closing with a strong finish for second when trialling on 1
December at Te Aroha, and debuts in the $22,500 NZB Insurance Pearl Series 2YO
1100 metres. From a Pins (Snippets) mare that finished second in the Karaka
Million (Restricted Listed, 1200m), Group 1 placed, and Second Top Filly on the
NZ 2YO Free Handicaps, she should go well with luck from barrier eight. Fixed
odds: $3.80 & $1.50.
