Te Akau NZ Counties' Preview

Te Akau New Zealand has one horse entered for the eight-race programme on Wednesday Dec. 4 at Pukekohe.

As on Tuesday Dec. 3 the conditions were: cloudy and Dead4, rail out 3 metres.

3:30pm R5 15 Speeding (3 f Volksraad - Rapida) - Matt Cameron; makes her debut from barrier seven in the Maiden Fillies & Mares 1300 metres. She performed admirably in two preparatory trials, making good ground for second in the most recent on Nov. 13 over 1200 metres at Cambridge. A sister to stakes winner Gin Dartre and half-sister to Courtney (Montjeu) and Smokin' Gun (High Chaparral), she has factors in her favour to act in a fresh state. She also has 1000 Guineas (Gr. 1, 1600m) winners Dorabella (Postponed) and Insouciant (Keeper) featuring in her family. Likely to settle off the pace over this trip, she has the length of stride and ability to quicken into contention.
