Te Akau NZ First to $1 million

The win by Derby bound Scrutinize at Manawatu on Saturday saw Te Akau Racing in New Zealand become the first stable in the country to hit the magical $1 million in stakes' earnings for the season.

happy

It's a great result when you think that the season is not even five months complete!

The Stephen Autridge/Jamie Richards training partnership now sits on 44 wins for the season - eight clear on the Trainers' Premiership.  The first stable to win over $1 million in prize money in 2015/16 - the stable has also won five Group and Listed races - two more than any other stable.

Te Akau's strike rate of 4.64 tells the story - first class!  We are exceedingly proud of our whole team - and absolutely delighted for our owners, it's a terrific result for them.

It is interesting to think that if you combine both of our stables' prizemoney for this calendar year - it is over $6 million!  We look forward to winning plenty more races for our owners and can't wait for the Karaka Sales at the end of January when we will welcome new owners to Te Akau - the country's leading stable - too!

Here is the Trainers' Premiership after racing on Saturday:

Premierships are based on performances during each racing season (August 1st - July 31st). The jockey and trainer with the most wins at the end of the season are the Premiership winners. These statistics are updated daily.
