Te Akau track work Friday May 24

Course proper (Heavy):

Recent winners Clos De Tart (Stack) and Milan Miss (Miller) prepared for upcoming assignments when galloping from the 1200 metres in 1:29, last 600m in 42.3. Trainer Jason Bridgman is looking to the Benchmark 65 1400-metre events on Wednesday June 5 at Matamata, and a day later at New Plymouth, for the reappearance of the two promising three-year-old fillies. Track conditions and draws will help determine a decision on placement.

A winner on his home track at Matamata, and runner-up last time at Paeroa, Secret Whisper (Miller) worked over a mile with 3 f High Chaparral - Landara (Stack) in 1:31 for the final 1200m, 600m in 44. The latter is scheduled to make her debut in the Maiden 1600 metres, for fillies and mares, at the local meeting on June 5, where Secret Whisper steps to 2000 metres in the Benchmark 75 event.
