Te Akau track work Friday April 19

Course proper (slow):

Preparing to race on Wednesday April 24 at Te Aroha, Clos De Tart (Darci Brahma) and Secret Whisper (Align) galloped up solidly. Clos De Tart (Brett) worked upsides the higher rated Thrive (Miller), trialling on Tuesday April 23 at Paeroa, from the 1200 metres in 1:23.3, final 600m in 38. Working from the 1400 metres, Secret Whisper (Brett) and Prospero (Stack), also set to trial at Paeroa, ran 1:21.5 for the 1200m, last 600m in 39.4.

Trialling at Paeroa: Adalia (Dye) and Polarity (Stack) covered 1200 metres in 1:22.5, last 600m in 38.2. Fast Fiction (Stack) and 2 g King's Chapel - Effortlessly (Miller) went over 1000 metres in 1:07.1, last 600m in 37.1.Goyescas (Dye) worked fluently in the ground to run 1200 metres in 1:21.9, last 600m in 37.

Sand track:

Trialling at Paeroa: Cajero (Miller) and Gijima (Stack) ran the 1200 metres in 1:11.5, final 600m in 42. Show No Emotion (Demir) and 3 f High Chaparral - Landara (Brett) covered 1000 metres in 1:07.6, last 600m in 37. 3 f Zabeel - Mantles Princess (Demir) worked nicely at three-quarter pace over 1200 metres.

Two-Year-Old Grass:

Wolfwhistle (2 c O'Reilly - Legs) (Brett) and Jewels Gift (2 f Stravinsky - Jesmonds Gift) (Stack) worked nicely at three-quarter pace over 800 metres in 55. 2 g Ekraar - Cape Win (Hazlett) worked over 800 metres at three-quarter pace in 57.9, last 600m in 42.8.

Trialling at Paeroa: 2 g Saperavi - Sweet Dreams Baby (Miller) and 2 f Volksraad - Rapida (Stack) went over 1000 metres in 1:09.2, last 600m in 38.8. Over the same trip, Spellbinder (2 f O'Reilly - Scenic Sprint) (Miller) clocked 38.7 for the last 600 metres. King's Rock (2 c Fastnet Rock - Nureyev's Girl) (Stack) and Aspen (2 c Alamosa - Kirin Belle) (Miller) both worked nicely in 38.4 for the final 600 metres. Longbeach (2 c Fastnet Rock - Betwixt) (Miller) worked in company with Hardcore Rock (2 c Fastnet Rock - River Dreaming) (Stack) and Sebrose (2 c Sebring - Bramble Rose) (Demir) to clock 37 for their final 600 metres. Currency (2 g Alamosa - Glittering Girl) (Demir) and Enhance(2 f Saperavi - Pinstinct) (Kendrick) clocked 800 metres in 57, finishing their three-quarter pace work in 41.9 for the final 600m. 2 f Saperavi - Paixanito(Miller) and 2 f Pins - Squall (Stack) ran 1000 metres in 1:08.3, last 600m in 37.8.

Three-quarter pace on the Sand track:

Last start winner, Exabelle (Brett) worked nicely at three-quarter pace over 1200 metres ahead of the Rating 65 2000 metres on Monday May 6 at Matamata.Urban Angel (Miller) covered 1000 metres in preparation to resume in the Rating 65 1400 metres on Wednesday May 1 at Pukekohe. No Nonsense (Dye), pencilled in for the Rating 65 2000 metres on Anzac Day, April 25, at Avondale, worked over 1400 metres with Red on Black (Miller). Rapid Gain (Dye) and 3 g Darci Brahma - Royal Rhythm (Miller) cover 800 metres at three-quarter pace. Preparing for the Rating 75 1200 metres on May 1 at Pukekohe, Cold Snap(Stack) worked over 1000 metres. Aiming to trial on May 7 at Te Awamutu,Lucky Guy (Miller) worked over 800 metres, as too Pride and Passion (Brett) who covered 1000 metres.
