Te Akau NZ Friday Trackwork

A quick look at just some of the highlights of today's Te Akau New Zealand Matamata trackwork with trials to be staged on Tuesday/

Two-Year-Old Grass (Dead)


Preparing to trial on Tuesday May 7 at Te Awamutu, Aspen (2 c Alamosa - Kirin Belle) (Lang), Hardcore Rock (2 c Fastnet Rock - River Dreaming) (Miller), and Longbeach (2 c Fastnet Rock - Betwixt) (Stack) galloped over 1000 metres. It was nice work from the trio as they picked up to run the last final 600 metres in 37.1.


2 f Darci Brahma - Eloa (Stack) covered 1000 metres in 1:08, last 600m in 37 in her final gallop before trialling next Tuesday.


2 g King's Chapel - Effortlessly (Lang) and Enhance (2 f Saperavi - Pinstinct) (Miller) worked an easy 1000 metres, quickening up in 39.3. They are both fit and well, and were not asked for a lot ahead of their respective trials at Te Awamutu.


Course proper (Dead6):


Also to trial on Tuesday, King's Rock (2 c Fastnet Rock - Nureyev's Girl) (Stack) and Fast Fiction (Demir) covered an easy 1000 metres working right-handed. They quickened over the final 600m in 37.7 to be doing their best work at the line.
