Te Akau NZ Matamata Preview

Te Akau New Zealand has three horses entered for the eight-race twilight programme on Wednesday Dec. 18 at Matamata.

As on Tuesday Dec. 17 the conditions were: fine and Dead4, rail out 2 metres.

5:50pm R6 9 Show No Emotion (4 m Pins - Lynisky) - Matt Cameron; got the job done in no uncertain terms when resuming from a 213-day break on Dec. 2 in the Maiden 1400 metres at Te Aroha. Up in grade but again ideally drawn in barrier two for the Benchmark 65 1400 metres, she brings a real element of interest to the race being such a big mare and one with ability to match.

6:25pm R7 13 Exabelle (5 m Exceed and Excel - Avabelle) - Matt Cameron; steps up in distance for the first time in this campaign, from barrier two in the Benchmark 65 2000 metres. With pedigree on her dam side to assist in getting a trip, she receives an ideal opportunity to register an encouraging display.

7:05pm R8 9 Stylee (4 m Pins - Arletty) - Matt Cameron; produced a pleasing performance resuming from a 277-day break on Dec. 2 when making plenty of ground for third in the Benchmark 65 1400 metres at Te Aroha. Patiently handled, and a winner second-up in her first campaign, she is drawn to receive a lovely trip from barrier three and has the acceleration to get herself into the finish.
