Te Akau track work Monday September 30
Course proper right-handed (slow/heavy):
Form horses, All Decked Out (Miller) and Wolfwhistle (Dee) worked from the 1000 metres, last 600m in 39.2, in preparation for the Hawkes Bay Guineas (Gr. 2, 1400m) on Saturday, Oct. 5, at Hastings.
Viewing a possible start in the weight-for-age Spring Classic (Gr. 1, 2040m) at the same meeting, Thrive (Miller) went over a mile and covered the final 600 metres in 39.3.
Continuing their prep ahead of racing on Wednesday at Ruakaka, Urban Angel (Dee) worked over 800 metres at three-quarter pace on the sand track and Milan Miss (Miller) did similar over 1000 metres. Scratched off a wide gate at the same meeting, and now pencilled for Oct. 9 at Taupo, King Savinsky (Dee) went over 800 metres at three-quarter pace.
