Te Akau NZ Otaki Preview

Te Akau New Zealand has one horse entered for the nine-race premier programme for the Levin Racing Club on Friday Nov. 29 at Otaki.

As on Thursday Nov. 28 the conditions were: overcast and Dead4, rail true.

3:30pm R5 10 Prospero (6 g High Chaparral - Alfred's Jewel) - Matt Cameron; travelled in midfield before rounding off wide on the track for fifth on Melbourne Cup Day in the Benchmark 75 2400 metres on good ground at Ellerslie. Up in grade for the Benchmark 85 2200 metres, but dropping in weight to carry 54kgs, he has the addition of blinkers for this assignment. Appreciative of any further give in the ground, he will be ridden quietly from the outside in a field of twelve and has the ability to threaten this line-up with a nice drag into proceedings.
