Te Akau NZ Ruakaka Preview

Te Akau New Zealand has one horse entered during the eight-race programme on Saturday August 31 at Ruakaka.

As at 8:40am on Wednesday Aug. 28 the conditions were: fine and Dead6, rail out 4 metres.

1:10pm R2 8 Costa Viva (3 f Encosta De Lago - Vivacious Spirit) - Craig Grylls; quickened on the rail to score a comfortable trial win on Aug. 6 over 800 metres on Dead4 footing at Te Teko, and now makes her debut in the 3YO 1200 metres. She is from a Bel Esprit (Royal Academy) mare that won three races over sprint distances, and in turn from mares by Snippets (Lunchtime) and Last Tycoon (Try My Best) that also won up to 1250 metres.
