12.53 p.m. R2 13 Soprano Supreme (3 f Contributer - Falsetto) - Chelsea Burdan (a2); fought hard for the minors when trialling on 27 October at Taupo, and debuts in the $10,000 Maiden 1400 metres. Her dam, Falsetto (Zabeel), impressed winning over 2100 metres and placed in the NZ Oaks (Gr. 1, 2400m). A good starting point, she has weight relief to 53kgs. Fixed odds: $23.00 & $4.80.
2.35 p.m. R5 3 You're Welcome (5 g Camelot - Chorus of Angels) - Joe Kamaruddin (a4); fought hard with a notable second-up effort for fourth in the Rating 65 1600 metres on 28 October at Te Aroha, and steps up in the $22,500 Rating 65 2100 metres. Runner-up at his only course attempt over the distance, he has weight relief to 55kgs and rates a top four chance from barrier five. Fixed odds: $6.00 & $2.25.
3.13 p.m. R6 5 Festivity (4 m I Am Invincible - Mabsam) - Vinnie Colgan; made it three from three when resuming with a nose margin victory in the Rating 74 1200 metres on 3 October at Hastings, and beaten a nose in the $27,500 Rating 74 1200 metres on 24 October at Te Rapa. She has the record to prove tough again in the corresponding event, despite drawing wide (12). Fixed odds: $2.80 & $1.40.
3.13 p.m. R6 11 Quattro Katie (5 m Zoustar - Kakakakatie) - Chelsea Burdan (a2); worked forward outside the leader before tiring late when fresh-up in theRating 74 1000 metres on 25 October at Trentham, and contests the $27,500 Rating 74 1200 metres. She is assisted by drawing barrier one and weight relief to 53kgs. Fixed odds: $26.00 & $5.75.
Riccarton:
Weather: fine, track: Dead6, rail: out 3 metres from 1100m to 450m, out 3 metres in the chute. No rain forecast.
12.39 p.m. R4 13Remington (6 g Darci Brahma - Kudamm) - Matt Cameron; fought hard off a tough trip here in the Open 1400 metres on 24 October and contests the $40,000 Open 1400 metres. Racing solidly, he carries minimum weight (54kgs) and capable of another good effort with luck from barrier 11. Fixed odds: $19.00 & $5.50.
12.39 p.m. R4 15Equinox (4 g Exceed and Excel - Our Ella Belle) - Danielle Johnson; found the line solidly after being held up here last Saturday in the Rating 74 1400 metres and steps up in the $40,000 Open 1400 metres. He drops five-kilos to carry minimum weight (54kgs) and ideally drawn (4) to race well. Fixed odds: $13.00 & $4.00.
1.12 p.m. R5 5 Pokuru's Gift (5 g Rock ‘n' Pop - Pokuru Boxer) - Opie Bosson; followed two seconds at the trials with a fresh-up win in the Rating 74 1200 metres on 9 October at Timaru, and solid finishing second here last Saturday in the Rating 74 1100 metres. Further improved, he should go well again from barrier one in the $40,000 Rating 74 1200 metres. Fixed odds: $6.00 & $2.25.
1.12 p.m. R5 6 Summer Monsoon (6 g Stratum - Princess Narine) - Danielle Johnson; was held up before running home solidly for sixth here last Saturday in the Rating 74 1400 metres, and drops in distance for the $40,000 Rating 74 1200 metres. Although yet to win over the trip, he has drawn ideally (3) to race well. Fixed odds: $10.00 & $3.30.
1.45 p.m. R6 2 Avonallo (2 c Belardo - Real Angel) - Opie Bosson; has twice finished second to race rival Follow Your Dreams (Contributer), most recently chasing him down valiantly here in the 2YO 800 metres on 24 October. He shapes as a strong chance in the $50,000 Frantic Bloodstock Welcome Stakes (Listed, 1000m). Fixed odds: $4.00 & $1.30.
2.35 p.m. R7 3 Bak Da Master (6 g Mastercraftsman - Bak Da Princess) - Danielle Johnson;recorded his fourth victory during this campaign with a massive performance in the Rating 74 2200 metres on 31 October at Awapuni, winning by nearly six lengths. Despite drawing wide (13), he rates a top three chance in the $40,000 Rating 82 2500 metres. Fixed odds: $5.50 & $2.15.
2.56 p.m. R8 2 Cornflower Blue (3 f Savabeel - Tiffany Yellow) - Danielle Johnson; enhanced her smart record with a polished victory in the Barneswood Farm Stakes (Gr. 3, 1400m) on 18 October at Ashburton, and contests the $300,000 Barneswood Farm New Zealand 1000 Guineas (Gr. 1, 1600m). She can utilize barrier one and has the credentials to rate a solid top three chance. Fixed odds: $9.00 & $2.90.
2.56 p.m. R8 7 Kahma Lass (3 f Darci Brahma - Distinctive Lass) - Opie Bosson; recorded a clinical victory in the Maiden 1200 metres on 7 October at Avondale, before closing powerfully in the fastest last 600m (33.9), beaten a nose, in the Soliloquy Stakes (Gr. 3, 1400m) on 24 October at Te Rapa. She was very good through the line and an ideal performance to be afforded a solid top three chance in the $300,000 Barneswood Farm New Zealand 1000 Guineas (Gr. 1, 1600m). Fixed odds: $8.00 & $2.60.
2.56 p.m. R8 12 Fashion Shoot (3 f Savabeel - High Fashion) - Chris Johnson; brought good form south before finding the line for fifth here in the War Decree Stakes (Gr. 3, 1600m) on 24 October. She looked good during an exhibition gallop on the course last Saturday, teams up with a canny rider, and has both the pedigree and ability to measure up in the $300,000 Barneswood Farm New Zealand 1000 Guineas (Gr. 1, 1600m). Fixed odds: $34.00 & $6.25.
5.16 p.m. R12 2 Aotea Lad (4 g Savabeel - Corsage) - Rohan Mudhoo (a2); worked near the pace before being collared late in the Rating 74 1400 metres on 29 October at Ashburton, and steps up in the $40,000 Rating 74 1600 metres. He has ability, receives weight relief to 58kgs, but requires luck from a very wide draw (16). Fixed odds: $15.00 & $4.50.
5.16 p.m. R12 11 Markus Aurelius (4 g Ghibellines - Evancho) - Opie Bosson; stretched out running home in a slick 32.9 (final 600m) when winning the Rating 65 1400 metres on 3 October, before tiring after going quickly in front on 24 October in the Rating 74 1800 metres, both at Riccarton. He has a good record and capable of bouncing back with a competitive performance from barrier six in the $40,000 Rating 74 1600 metres. Fixed odds: $6.00 & $2.25.
