Te Akau track work Saturday September 28


Sand track:


Last start winner Wolfwhistle (Miller), preparing for the Hawkes Bay Guineas (Gr. 2, 1400m) next Saturday at Hastings, was tracked by King Savinsky (Dee) over 1200 metres in 1:24, last 600m in 40.4. The latter staged a big run for second fresh-up at Ruakaka, and returns to the same venue next Wednesday for the Maiden 1600 metres.


Having missed racing last week with the cancellation at Matamata, Secret Whisper (Miller) worked over 1200 metres at three-quarter pace and now scheduled for the Benchmark 75 1600 metres next Friday, Oct. 4, at Te Rapa.


1000 metres at three-quarter pace:


Prospero (Dee) worked solo, as did Urban Angel (Miller).


800 metres at three-quarter pace:


Alchemy's Flight (Myers), Hardcore Rock (Miller), and O'Darci (Lang) worked solo. Jewels Gift (Lang) went with regular companion Osmunda (Dee), Precious Time (Myers) and 3 f Minstrel Court - Nat the Brat, Riverenza (Dee) and Stylee (Miller) paired up.

On the two-year-old grass track, Rock ‘n' Sox (2 f Road to Rock - Pteridophyte) (Miller) and 2 g Mastercraftsman - Velvet and Satin (Lang) worked over 400 metres at three-quarter pace.
