Course proper (Slow) - fog prevented some timing

Impressive debut winner Angelica Hall (Lang - pictured below) worked with Rapid Gain (Hercock), who missed his race with the abandonment of the meeting last Thursday at New Plymouth, over 1000 metres in 1:06. Rapid Gain holds a nomination for the Benchmark 65 1200 metres next Wednesday, Dec. 11, at Ellerslie.

Also affected by the cancellation, Secret Whisper (Hercock) went with Urban Angel (Lang) over 1200 metres. They have both been nominated for the Benchmark 75 1600 metres at Ellerslie. Ruthless Lady (Hercock - picutred below left) and Osmunda (Lang - below right) did similar work.

Two-year-old grass:

2 g Tale of the Cat - Quatro (Ellis) and Smashing (Lang) came from the 800 metres in 52.5, last 600m in 37.2. Later in the session, Realize (Lang) and Rockfast (Cox) clocked 55.5 and 41.

Two-year-old grass, 600 metres three-quarter pace:

Astrid (Ellis - pictured below left), Super Power (Lang - below right) and 2 f Saperavi - Zorina (O'Grady) worked as a trio. Opulent (Cox) and 2 f Thorn Park - Akela (Lang), Irish Mystic (O'Grady) and Light Source (Ellis), Bon Marche (Cox) and Cathedral Cove (Ellis), 2 f Saperavi - Encosta Lotta (O'Grady) and 2 f Saperavi - Patient (Lang), 2 f Flying Spur - America's Idol (Cox) and 2 g Minstrel Court - Aventura (O'Grady).

Sand track, three-quarter pace:

Longbeach (Lang) 1400 metres, Sovereign Rose (Hercock) 1400m, Riverenza (Ellis) 1200m, 4 g Faltaat - Ally McBeal (Lang) 1000m, 4 g Darci Brahma - Royal Rhythm (Hercock), Abidewithme (Lang) 800m, 3 f More than Ready - Insouciant (Lang) 800m, 3 g Sir Percy - Dutyful (Cox - pictured first below) 800m, Sky Music (Ellis) 800m, Seline (Hazlett) 800m, Stanica Star (Hercock) 800m, Stylee (Lang) 800m, My Fiancée (Hercock - pictured second below), Flying Solo (Ellis) 600m.
