Te Akau NZ Taranaki Preview
21 November, 2013
Te Akau New Zealand has two horses entered for the eight-race programme on Friday Nov. 22 at New Plymouth.
As on Thursday Nov. 21 the conditions were: fine and Good3, rail out 1 metre.
6:26pm R7 1 Stanica Star (7 g Danzero - Stanica) - Mick Dee (a2); ran on from a rearward position when resuming in a slightly stronger field over 1400 metres on Nov. 2 at Tauranga. Prior to he had produced good finishes to win two preparatory trials and stepping to a mile on a left-handed track are factors in his favour.
6:56pm R8 3 Milan Miss (4 m Darci Brahma - Falaniella) - Matt Cameron; led and won by 1 ½ lengths on Oct. 31 in the Benchmark 65 2060 metres at Wanganui. She appreciated her first middle distance attempt and remains in the same grade for this assignment. Likely to settle in or near the lead from barrier six, she can prove competitive again if able to secure a smooth trip.
