Te Akau track work highlights - Friday 20 February -

Plough:

Xtravagant (Lammas) and 2 f Shamoline Warrior - Amathea (Hercock) worked together over 800 metres in 53.2. Fog prevented timing of the 600m sectional.

Auriol (Zac-Syed) and 2 f Starcraft - Absolute Faith (Lammas) worked together over 800 metres in 51.5, last 600m in 37.2.

Three-quarter pace on the plough:

Skyscraper (Richards) worked solo over 1200m, Imperium (Richards) 800m and Bordeaux (Ritchie) 800m.

Te Akau track work highlights Thursday 19 February -

Plough:

Spellbinder (Hercock) worked over 800 metres at three-quarter pace in preparation to resume in the Open 1200 metres on Saturday at Matamata. Spellbinder (O'Reilly) has won four of her nine starts, including the Soliloquy Stakes (Listed, 1400m) and Karaka 3YO Mile (Listed, 1600m). She finished third in the 1000 Guineas (Gr. 1, 1600m) and second in the Sir Tristram Fillies Classic (Gr. 2, 2000m).

Gearing up for the Mr Tiz Trophy (Gr. 3, 1200m) on Derby Day at Ellerslie, 28 February, Darci's Dream (Lammas) and Flaming (Hercock) worked over 1200m in 1:14.6, 1000m in 1:06 and final 600m in 35.7. Also scheduled for the Mr Tiz Trophy, No Tricks (Hercock) and Smashing (Lammas) covered the 1200m in 1:15.6, 1000m in 1:09 and last 600m in 35.3.

Horses for the two two-year-old feature races on Saturday at Matamata: Special Memories (Hercock) and Unsurpassed (Lammas) each worked solo over 800m at three-quarter pace. Special Memories (Fastnet Rock) has a 2-1 form line going into the Matamata Breeders' Stakes (Gr. 2, 1200m) and Unsurpassed (Exceed and Excel) 1-2 ahead of the Matamata Slipper (Listed, 1200m).

Three-quarter pace on the plough:

Costa Viva (Lammas) worked solo over 1000 metres.
