Te Akau NZ Waikato Preview

Te Akau New Zealand has one horse entered for the nine-race premier programme on Saturday May 18 at Te Rapa.

As at 9:12am on Wednesday May 15 the conditions were: overcast and Slow8, rail out 8 metres.

4:01pm R8 14 Goyescas (4 m Encosta De Lago - Larrocha) - Shane Dye; ended her previous campaign winning the Benchmark 65 1400 metres on Jan. 7 at Rotorua, under 58-kilograms, with this rider aboard. She resumes from a 133-day break, having had the benefit of two trials. She has blinkers off for her fresh-up run in the Benchmark 75 1400 metres, while drawing barrier one could prove advantageous depending on the pattern of racing later in the programme. Allowed to find to her feet in the early stages, improvement will be derived from the run but on the score of ability she lacks little in this line-up.
