Te Akau NZ Weekend Preview
24 July, 2015
Te Akau New Zealand has three horses entered across the weekend at three venues - Otaki and Ruakaka on Saturday 25 July and Rotorua on Sunday 26 July.
Levin Racing Club - Saturday 25 July
As on Friday 24 July the conditions were: cloudy and Heavy10, rail out 3 metres.
2:38p.m. R5 11 Stella Di Paco (2f Paco Boy - Savabeel Star) - the Castletown Stakes' winner looks to notch up another stakes' win for the season in the $50,000 Ryder Stakes (Listed). Her work has been top class and she looks to be a leading contender in the race with Cameron Lammas aboard, who has been riding her in most of her work leading into the race. The wide draw should not prove too much of an obstacle to Max Whitby's filly.
Whangarei Racing Club - Saturday 25 July
As on Friday 24 July the conditions were: fine and Dead4, rail out 5 metres.
1.20 p.m. R3 7 Prince Henry (3g Henrythenavigator - Ocean of Tears) - is second up this campaign. He will benefit from the better track conditions this weekend and 1200m should suit. He has been working well and should have every chance to be in the finish in the field of twelve with Michael McNab aboard.
Racing Rotorua - Sunday 26 July
As on Friday 24 July the conditions were: fine and Heavy10, rail true.
2.41 p.m. R6 3 Bon Marche (3g Nom du Jeu - Las Vegas Lass) - is a very consistent galloper who looks to break through the maiden grade this Sunday for Cameron Lammas. He has galloped nicely through the week and in a small field he will have his chance to break through for his maiden victory.
