Te Akau New Zealand has three horses entered for the eight race programme on Saturday 5 December at Ellerslie.

As on Friday 4 December the conditions were: overcast and Good3; rail out 6 metres.

1:03 p.m. R1 7 Ekraarstatic (5 m Ekraar - Nugget Point) - Cameron Lammas; never quite got into the finish, but still not far away on Nov. 21 in the Rating 85 2200 metres at Avondale, after losing momentum at the 200m in the Rating 85 2200 metres here on Nov. 3. Fitter for the two runs over ground, she can produce an improved showing in the $25,000 Rating 85 2200 metres.

2.48 p.m. R4 1 Highly Likely (5 g High Chaparral - Starrinka) - Cameron Lammas; did a great job in front and only just collared on Oct. 31 in the Rating 75 2300 metres at Awapuni, after being claimed late prior in the Rating 75 2000 metres at Matamata. He continues to train very well and appears ideally placed in the $22,500 Rating 75 2200 metres.

3.27 p.m. R5 8 Love Triangle (3 f Encosta De Lago - Love Diamonds) - Cameron Lammas; freshened after finding the line for sixth in the $70,000 Gold Trail Stakes (Gr. 3, 1200m) at Hastings, she had her ears pricked winning a recent trial and resumes off 63 days in the $20,000 3YO 1300 metres. She won on debut over 1200 metres in October at Ruakaka, and has a fair bit of quality about her.
