Te Akau NZ Weekend Preview

Te Akau New Zealand has one horse entered during the eight-race programme for the Pakuranga Hunt Club on Saturday August 24 at Ellerslie.

As at 8:50am on Friday Aug. 23 the conditions were: showery and Heavy11, rail out 11 metres.

1:35pm R3 7 Goosebumps (9 g Istidaad - Raewyn's Polly) - Daniel Miller (a3); has been hurdling in recent starts and now makes his debut over bigger fences in the Maiden Steeplechase 4150 metres. It is thought that an easier tempo should suit and he finished fourth in a steeplechase trial on this course since last racing. Te Akau apprentice rider Daniel Miller takes 3kgs off his carded weight to carry 65kgs and it is hoped the combination can produce an encouraging performance.
