Te Akau Otaki Preview
Te Akau New Zealand has two horses racing on Friday 1 December at Otaki.

As on Thursday 30 November the conditions were: fine and Good3, rail out 3 metres. 1.5mls rain forecast Thursday, fine Friday.

2.47 p.m. R5 4 Chambord (7 g Zabeel - Miss Montjeu) - Cameron Lammas; came from last in the fastest final 600m (32.7) of the day to finish fourth in the Legacy Lodge Sprint (Listed, 1200m) on 11 November at Te Rapa, when resuming off a lengthy spell. Finishing just behind him in fifth at Te Rapa, stable-mate Heroic Valour (Fastnet Rock) has since posted the quickest last 600m (32.7) to claim third in the Haunui Farm Counties Bowl (Listed, 1100m) on Saturday at Pukekohe. Currently third favourite in a field of six for the $50,000 Levin Stakes (Listed, 1200m). Fixed odds: $4.50 & $1.45.

3.22 p.m. R6 11 Princess Davone (5 m Iffraaj - Nikey Davone) - Cameron Lammas; raced handily but held up at a vital stage for an unlucky sixth in the Rating 75 1400 metres on 11 November at Te Rapa, having missed the start fresh-up at Rotorua. Ideally drawn (4) in the $25,000 Rating 75 1600 metres, she is a stakes performed filly with the ability to prove an each way chance in this field.
