Te Akau New Zealand has two horses racing on Thursday 8 November at Otaki.

As on race morning the conditions were: raining and Dead6, rail out 3.5 metres. 15mls rain forecast race day.

3.14 p.m. R6 9 Pinultimate (3 f Pins - Lost In Dubai) - Johnathan Parkes; raced away after leading to win on debut by four lengths in the Maiden 1200 metres on 19 October at Tauranga, having finished strongly for third to subsequent dual winning and Group Three placed stable-mate Our Flying Ace (Darci Brahma) when trialling in August at Te Teko. A half-sister to Sistema Stakes (Gr. 1, 1200m) runner-up Star Treasure (Lonhro), she should measure up from barrier two in the $10,000 NZB Insurance Pearl Series Rating 65 1200 metres (eligible $11,500 bonus).

3.54 p.m. R7 8 Lady Zeraph (4 m Makfi - Zatiger) - Dylan Turner; scored fresh-up in the NZB Pearl Series Rating 65 1350 metres (eligible $11,500 bonus) on 27 September at Waipukurau, before working home solidly enough for seventh in the Rating 72 1600 metres on 19 October at Tauranga. A staying mare in the making, she rates a top five chance from barrier five in the $11,000 Rating 72 1600 metres.
