Te Akau Racing has three horses entered on Thursday 28 November at Otaki.

1:57 p.m. R3 1 Fury Of Flight (2 c Zoustar – Ready To Soar) – Wiremu Pinn; he steadied for a nice trip behind the leaders, ranged three wide at the 400m, and drew out in the straight to win well when trialling on 18 November at Waipa. Debuting in the $40,000 2YO 1100 metres, he has won two of his three trials, appears a precocious two-year-old type, and presents a winning chance from barrier five. Fixed odds: $1.45 & $1.05. 

3:07 p.m. R5 8 Puketiro (5 m Savabeel – Matakana) – Wiremu Pinn; she quickened well for a close second in a trial on 18 November at Waipa, and resumes in the $80,000 Open Handicap 1200 metres. Impressive winning five of 11 starts, with three of those five over 1200 metres, she possesses an excellent fresh-up record, and rates a top three chance from barrier four. Fixed odds: $5.50 & $2.05. 

4:12 p.m. R7 9 Ocean Miss (3 f Ocean Park – Runway) – Wiremu Pinn; she found the line for fourth after the track downgraded to Heavy8 when debuting in the Maiden 3YO 1200 metres on 30 October and never looked in any danger after leading throughout to win the Maiden 1400 metres on 12 November, both at Te Aroha. Up in class for the $100,000 Group 3 Elsdon Park Wellington Stakes over the mile, she is bred to appreciate the extra distance and is ideally drawn (5) to prove competitive. Fixed odds: $6.00 & $2.20.
