Te Akau Pakenham Friday Preview

Te Akau Racing has two horses entered on Friday 15 May at Pakenham (Melbourne).

Pakenham:

Weather: fine, track: Soft6, rail: out 3 metres. No rain forecast.

6:45 p.m. (NZ) - 4:45 p.m. (Vic) R1 4 Mongol Heer (2 g Hello Youmzain – La Capita) – Logan Bates (a); he remained nicely held when finding the line solidly in a jump out on 27 April at Cranbourne, and debuts in the A$45,000 Maiden 2YO 1200 metres. His dam La Capita, by Group 1 Golden Slipper winner Capitalist (Written Tycoon), won over 1400 metres, he is her first foal, and is ideally drawn (4) to race competitively first-up. NZ TAB fixed odds: $27.00 & $5.00.

8:15 p.m. (NZ) - 6:15 p.m. (Vic) R4 4 Jezebel Jenni (3 f Cool Aza Beel – Legal Girl) – Jett Stanley; she ran home well for second after trailling in a jump out on 4 May at Cranbourne, and resumes in the A$45,000 Maiden Fillies & Mares 1400 metres. By Te Akau trained Champion Two-Year-Old Cool Aza Beel (Savabeel) who won the Karaka Millions 2YO and Group 1 Sistema Stakes, his dam Legal Girl (Star Witness) won twice to 1600 metres in Australia, and she shapes to race well of her rider can secure a decent trip from the slightly tricky barrier seven. NZ TAB fixed odds: $8.00 & $1.90.
