2.35 p.m. R3 1 Aotea Lad (4 g Savabeel - Corsage) - Joe Kamaruddin (a3); found the line when resuming here in the Rating 74 1200 metres on 31 January, wound up well for third in the Rating 74 1400 metres on 21 February at Hastings, and close to fastest last 600m when getting home in 34.7 for third in the Rating 74 1550 metres on 6 March at Awapuni. With weight relief to 57.5kg, he rates a top three chance in the $11,000 Rating 74 1600 metres.

3.10 p.m. R4 7 Holyhead (3 f Pierro - Irish Sea) - Danielle Johnson; broke through at her third start with a determined victory in the Maiden 1200 metres on 20 February at Ellerslie, and unsuited on slow ground in the Mufhasa Fasttrack Stakes (Listed, 1300m) there on 7 March. Back in grade, she rates a top three chance in the $10,000 Rating 65 1400 metres.
