Te Akau Pukekohe Preview
Te Akau New Zealand has two horses racing on Friday 4 May at Pukekohe.
As on Thursday 3 May the conditions were: fine and Slow9, rail out 7 metres. No rain forecast.

1.02 p.m. R2 6 Ritzy Sparkle (2 f Pins - Kumari) - Cameron Lammas; was an impressive recent trial winner at Waipa (slow/heavy footing), with Lammas aboard, travelling sweetly in front and extended a three length margin to seven and a half lengths at the line. On debut in the 10,000 Maiden 2YO 1200 metres, she is from the same family as stable-mate Byzantine (Savabeel) who contests a stakes race on Saturday at Te Rapa, ideally drawn (3) and should go well following her compelling trial win.

3.22 p.m. R6 7 Lady Painton (5 m Tavistock - Lady Verify) - Tegan Newman (a3); did well for third on 23 March in the Rating 70 1600 metres at Avondale, and with weight relief to 53.5kgs she contests the $10,000 Rating 70 1400 metres. A winner three starts ago over 1400 metres and without much room next time out (9th), she strikes a strong field but should acquit herself well from barrier two.
