Te Akau Pukekohe Preview






Te Akau New Zealand has two horses racing on Thursday 28 February at Pukekohe.





As on race morning the conditions were: fine and Dead4, rail true. No rain forecast. 





1.22 p.m. R3 6 Folk Dress (2 f Pierro - Gypsy Chimes) - Craig Grylls; fought hard for fourth following a tough run on pace when debuting in the Woburn Farm 2YO Classic (Gr. 3, 1200m) on 2 February at New Plymouth, after winning her solitary trial by over seven lengths. She meets a majority of first starters in the $10,000 Maiden 2YO 1200 metres and looking to get home strongly after a quieter trip from barrier nine.





3.07 p.m. R6 5 Fabulous Flight(4 g I Am Invincible - Court Flying) - Nik Bakar (a3); finished strongly from the trail to win the Rating 65 1600 metres, sponsored by Te Akau Racing - Three Times Karaka Million Winner, on 13 February at Te Aroha, with Bakar aboard. A consistent performer with a couple of good wins to his credit, he again rates an each way chance, claiming to 54.5kgs, in the $11,000 Rating 72 1600 metres.
