Te Akau Pukekohe Preview

Te Akau New Zealand has one horse entered for the seven race programme on Sunday 18 September at Pukekohe.

As on Saturday 17 September the conditions were: showery and Slow8, rail true. 8mls rain forecast Saturday, 3mls race day.

2.35 p.m. R4 2 Zambezi Warrior (4 g Pentire - Zambezi) - Jasmine Fawcett (a4); was held together when finishing second in a 1200-metre trial, the second of two trials with Michael McNab aboard in August at Te Teko, and resumes with an apprentice claim to 56kgs in the Rating 75 1400 metres. A winner here on Dead4 over 2100 metres and placed in the Championship Stakes (Gr. 2, 2100m) before ending his previous campaign, he shapes as an exciting staying prospect and may be reserved if the conditions deteriorate towards heavy.
