1.00 p.m. R6 9 Rhapsody in Blue (3 f Medaglia d'Oro - Kablues) - Danielle Johnson; capped solid form with victory over 1300 metres in September at Taupo, and finished in a line of three for third when trialling here on 9 June. From a good family, she has the credentials to race well in the $15,000 Rating 63 1200 metres. Fixed odds: $14.00 & $4.20.

2.00 p.m. R8 6 Man Oh Man (4 g Reliable Man - Lumir) -

Ideally drawn (5), she has the benefit of weight relief to 52.5kgs. Fixed odds: $12.00 & $3.80.

Awapuni:

Weather: fine, track: Heavy10, rail: 3 metres from 800m to 400m, remainder 9 metres. No rain forecast.

11.13 a.m. R1 6 Bak Da Master (5 g Mastercraftsman - Bak Da Princess) - Michael Roustoby (a3); acquired his jumps' ticket while racing consistently on the flat and finished second at his hurdles' debut in September at Te Aroha. He stayed on well into second when trialling on 9 June at Te Rapa, finished second in a hurdle trial on 18 June at Cambridge, and resumes in the $15,000 Jumpers High-weight 1550 metres. Although suited to more distance, he performs consistently and warrants respect. Fixed odds: $4.20 & $1.80.

11.43 a.m. R2 1 Al Haram (7 g Sea the Stars - En Public) - Aaron Kuru; delivered
with a tough performance over 2200 metres in October at Ashburton, and spelled
following the Metropolitan Trophy Handicap (Listed, 2500m) at Riccarton. He
rolled on through the line when trialling on 9 June at Te Rapa, had a hurdle trial on 18 June at
Cambridge, and resumes in the $15,000 Rating 81 High-weight 1550 metres.
Although short of his best, he has the talent to prove competitive. Fixed odds:
$19.00 & $4.20.

11.43 a.m. R2 2 Richard of Yorke (8 g Oasis Dream - Cascata) - Michael Roustoby (a3); made
good headway when trialling on 9 June at Te Rapa, finished third in a hurdle
trial on 18 June at Cambridge, and resumes in the $15,000 Rating 81 High-weight

trip. Fixed odds: $13.00 & $3.40.

12.43 p.m. R4 8 Quattro Katie (4 m Zoustar - Kakakakatie) - Chelsea Burdan (a2); won fresh-up on heavy footing in September at Riccarton, and resumes in the $15,000 Rating 89 1000 metres. A stakes' placed (Canterbury Belle Stakes (Listed, 1200m)) winner of two races, she comes in without a recent trial, although did finish second when trialling in March at Matamata, and shows both grit and determination. Fixed odds: $7.50 & $2.60.
