Ideally drawn (2) in the $40,000 Rating 75 2100 metres, she recorded her Maiden success over 2200 metres last season, and brings right form to rate as a top three contender if she is appreciative of the poly-track. Fixed odds: $2.50 & $1.25.
4:39 p.m. R4 11 Porcia Catonis (3 f Super Seth – Dark Heather) – Harry Grace; she finished back after a wide trip when debuting in the Pearl Series Maiden Fillies & Mares 1200 metres on 21 November at Timaru, and is one of two stablemates contesting the $25,000 Maiden 1200 metres. The blinkers are on as she seeks improvement. Fixed odds: $15.00 & $4.20.
4:39 p.m. R4 12 Queen Consort (3 f Eminent – Queen Boudicca) – Wiremu Pinn; she finished strongly from handy position for third in trial on 18 November at Waipa, with Pinn aboard, and debuts in the $25,000 Maiden 1200 metres. Out of stakes placed winner over 1100 metres, and shapes to race well with luck from wide draw (10). Fixed odds: $5.00 & $1.95.
5:11 p.m. R5 3 Knowledge Is Power (3 g Written Tycoon – Hectopascal) – Wiremu Pinn; recorded all-the-way win by two lengths in the Maiden 1200 metres on 21 November at Timaru, and contests the $40,000 Rating 65 1200 metres. Stiffer task up in grade, but brings winning form, second on poly-track over 1000 metres at Awapuni, and handily drawn (5). Fixed odds: $7.00 & $2.40.
5:48 p.m. R6 1 Caravella (5 m Caravaggio – Highland Lights) – Wiremu Pinn; contested both the Pegasus Stakes (Listed, 1000m) and Stewards Stakes (Listed, 1200m) here during Cup Week (9 – 16 Nov.), and drops in grade for the $40,000 Rating 80 1400 metres. Highest rated (76), carrying 59kg, but good course/distance record and receives opportunity to improve form. Fixed odds: $6.00 & $2.15.
5:48 p.m. R6 9 Alminette (5 m Burgundy – High Heels) – Joe Doyle; produced notable effort from handy position for sixth in the Rating 75 1600 metres here on NZ Cup Day (13 Nov.), and contests the $40,000 Rating 80 1400 metres. Poly-track course winner earlier this season, solid record, stakes placed, and capable of bold showing. Fixed odds: $7.00 & $2.40.
7:04 p.m. R8 2 Rule Of Law (4 g Justify – Repeat) – Wiremu Pinn; was collared nearing 200m after leading in the Rating 65 1600 metres on 23 November at Pukekohe, and contests $40,000 Rating 65 1600 metres. He recorded fresh-up victory over 1300 metres on poly-track at Cambridge, and should receive every opportunity from barrier five. Fixed odds: $3.40 & $1.55.
