3:05 p.m. R5 3 Belle of the Ball (4 m Savabeel - Lady Tatia) - Joe Kamaruddin (a1); runner-up in the Warstep Stakes (Listed, 2000m) here in April, she resumed finishing second to stable-mate Savito (Savabeel) in the Maiden Fillies & Mares 1300 metres on 24 August at Taupo. She raced away to score by nearly four lengths in the Maiden 1400 metres (poly-track) here on 1 September, running the fastest last 600m (32.7) on the day. She warrants favouritism in the $14,000 Rating 65 1400 metres.

4:13 p.m. R7 1 Illicit Miss (4 m Hinchinbrook - Unlawful) - Joe Kamaruddin (a1); followed three consecutive seconds with a fifth in the Lowland Stakes (Gr. 2, 2100m) on 2 March at Hastings, and resumed with fifth in the same race as Belle of the Ball (above) on 24 August at Taupo. After dictating terms she powered home to win the Maiden 1600 metres (poly-track) here on 1 September, and warrants favouritism in the $14,000 NZB Insurance Pearl Series Rating 65 1600 metres (eligible $13,000 bonus).
