Te Akau Racing has two horses entered on Wednesday 13 August at Rotorua.

1:42 p.m. R4 7 Hayate (7 m Maurice – Vamoose) – Opie Bosson; she travelled midfield and was held up at a crucial stage before running on belatedly in the Rating 67 2000 metres on 23 July at Cambridge (poly-track), following two starts over hurdles. Contesting the $17,000 Rating 60 1950 metres, she has previously placed on this course, and is the winner of four races. She comes into this race very fit and has the ability to prove competitive as the market also indicates. Fixed odds: $4.20 & $1.70.

4:04 p.m. R8 9 Viva Glam (3 f Savabeel – Style By Design) – Opie Bosson; she finished third (promoted to second) in the 3YO 1400 metres on 26 July at Te Rapa, and drops in class for the $17,000 Rating 65 1400 metres. She raced clear to win on Heavy9 footing over 1200 metres in May at Matamata, and if the champion jockey can navigate the wide gate (12), she can deliver a top three result. Fixed odds: $6.00 & $2.20.
