Te Akau Racing has four horses entered on Wednesday 28 April at Rotorua.

Weather: overcast, track: Slow8, rail: out 4.5 metres 1300m - winning post, remainder out 2.5 metres. No rain forecast.

 

1.42 p.m. R4 3 Badgeringdawitness (3 g Reliable Man - Ebony and Ivory) - Opie Bosson; has looked good in three trials, most recently when finding the line solidly for close fourth on 8 April at Cambridge. Debuting in the $10,000 Maiden 2YO & 3YO 1230 metres, he requires luck from a wide draw (14). His dam, Ebony and Ivory (Zabeel), impressed winning over a mile and now left five individual winners of 12 races, seen at their best around 2000 metres.

1.42 p.m. R4 11 Hoity Toity (3 f Makfi - Sopra Tutto) - Danielle Johnson; has looked good in three trials, most recently when closing well in the straight for fourth on 8 April at Cambridge. Debuting in the $10,000 Maiden 2YO & 3YO 1230 metres, she requires luck from a wide draw (10). She is a sister to Ethereal Stakes (Gr. 3, 2000m) and Sunline Vase (Gr. 3, 2100m) winner Eleonora, from the family of Champion Stayer and Melbourne Cup (Gr. 1, 3200m) winner Ethereal (Rhythm), along with stallions Darci Brahma (Danehill) and Burgundy (Redoute's Choice).

4.04 p.m. R8 5 Get Hitched (4 m Lonhro - Wedding) - Opie Bosson; won the Rating 65 1215 metres by nearly four lengths here 28 December, and drops in grade after getting home well from last in the Rating 74 1200 metres on Easter Saturday (3 April) at Awapuni. She rates a top three chance in the $10,000 Rating 65 1230 metres.

4.30 p.m. R9 8 I'm Not Bossy (3 f Jimmy Choux - Keffiya) - Danielle Johnson; was a trial winner here in March and debuts from barrier three in the $10,000 Maiden 2YO & 3YO 1230 metres. Out of a Cape Cross (Green Desert) mare that won four times at 1600 metres, she is from the family of Te Akau trained Champion Two-Year-Old and triple Group One winner Maroofity (Maroof).
