Te Akau Rotorua Midweek Preview

Te Akau Racing has three horses entered on Wednesday 29 September at Rotorua.

Weather: cloudy, track: Heavy10, rail: out 4 metres from 1300m to winning post, remainder out 2 metres.

1.40 p.m. R3 3 Arceus  (3 g Per Incanto - Centree) - Michael McNab; tired after working on pace when debuting in the Maiden 3YO 1100 metres on 8 September at Taupo, following  a trial win prior on heavy ground at Te Rapa. Though he has drawn wide (11), he receives a chance to improve with blinkers on in the $12,000 Maiden 3YO 1230 metres.

2.15 p.m. R4 3 Polaris (3 g Deep Field - Miss Fi) - Joe Kamaruddin (a2); worked home strongly near the rail to grab third when trialling on 14 September at Cambridge (poly-track), and debuts in the $12,000 Maiden 3YO 1230 metres. His dam won on Heavy11 going as a two-year-old, and he is drawn (1) to receive an economical trip.

2.15 p.m. R4 7 Miss Lovato  (3 f Astern - Demilune) - Danielle Johnson; has looked good at the trials and debuts in the $12,000 Maiden 3YO 1230 metres. From a good family with plenty of speed, she has shown attributes to prove competitive if appreciative of the footing.
