Te Akau Rotorua Preview

Te Akau New Zealand has one horse entered for the eight-race programme on Friday Jan. 24 at Rotorua.

As on Thursday Jan. 23 the conditions were: fine and Dead4, rail out 2 metres.

4:05pm R7 5 Rapid Gain (4 g Flying Spur - Occasional Gain) - Matt Cameron; found a lovely spot in fourth and after travelling easily on a solid tempo put his rivals away for a stylish win here on Jan. 6 in the Benchmark 65 1400 metres. Again over 1400 metres, but up in grade, he posted a time (1:22.42) in keeping with this class of horse and following a decent trip from barrier seven can prove competitive on a course that is serving him well.
